Neuron derived neurotrophic factor - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuron_derived_neurotrophic_factor
WEBNeuron derived neurotrophic factor (NDNF) is a secreted protein that, in humans, is located on chromosome 4. This protein helps in the growth, survival, migration, and differentiation of neurons. To assist with migration, NDNF shows neuro-repulsive effects on GnRH neurons.

Neuron-derived Neurotrophic Factor Functions as a Novel …
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4022881/
WEBMay 5, 2014 · Results: Neuron-derived neurotrophic factor (NDNF) is up-regulated in endothelial cells in ischemic limbs of mice. NDNF stimulates endothelial cell function and promotes ischemia-induced revascularization through NOS-dependent mechanisms. Conclusion: NDNF functions as a novel modulator that stimulates revascularization processes.

WEBThese three groups have been at the center stage of the IN field for the past decade, but they are largely absent from L1. Lack of genetic access has made it difficult to study L1 INs, a misfortune that changed with the finding that neuron-derived neurotrophic factor (NDNF) labels 70% of L1 INs.
